Stout Left Hand Milk Stout 17 17 12oz. 96 $4.25
This English style of beer, also known as Sweet Stout or Cream Stout, first appeared in London in the late 1800’s. The milk sugar adds a well rounded sweetness to this dark beer and makes it an outstanding, year ‘round stout.

The body is light and layered with fruit and spice accents and a dry, peppery finish. A portion of the proceedsfrom this ale go toward the restoration of the historic Santa Maria de Oliva chapter house on the grounds of the Abbey of New Clairvaux. This medieval building stood for nearly eight centuries in Spain. William Randolph Hearst purchased the monastery in 1931 and planned to use the stones for a castle even grander than his famous San Simeon. December ’04 bottles labeled as 11% ABV. Previous vintages at 9.5%
IPA Bells Two Hearted 12oz. 100 $4.50 India Pale Ale style well suited for Hemingway-esque trips to the Upper Peninsula. American malts and enormous hop additions give this beer a crisp finish and incredible floral hop aroma.
Belgian Strong Ale Delirium Tremens 12oz. 96 $11.25 Bottle Conditioned. Launched on December 26th 1989 @ 9% abv. Abv reduced from 9% to 8.5% in 2003.
The particular character and the unique taste of “Delirium Tremens” result from the use of three different kinds of yeast. Its very original packing, which resembles cologne ceramics, and the colourful label contribute to its success.
In 1997, Stuart A. Kallen nominated Delirium Tremens as “best beer in the world”. A gold medal during the “world beer championships” in Chicago (1998) confirmed that worldwide recognition.
Belgian Strong Ale Delirium Nocturnum 12oz. 94 $11.25 Colour and sight: Dark brown-red. A compact white-yellow, stable and lacing head. Scent: Touches of caramel, mocha and chocolate. Spices such as liquorice and coriander are also present. Flavour: Initially, a very good mouthfeel of alcohol and softness. This is followed by an increasing bitterness, partially from the hop, but also from the roasted malt and chocolate malt. Towards the end a nice balance between bitterness, sour and sweet.
IPA Lagunitas Maximus 12oz. 98 $5.00 At the height of the heat in the heart of the summer, we felt that the only cure was a raging mouthful of fresh hops and malt. Caution: May remove enamel from teeth. This is Lagunitas IPA pumped up by about 30%!
Stout Left Hand Milk Stout 12oz. 96 $4.25 This English style of beer, also known as Sweet Stout or Cream Stout, first appeared in London in the late 1800’s. The early brewers touted the health benefits of the milk sugar in this beer which today relates mainly to the increased amount of calories(no real health benefits…sorry). The milk sugar adds a well rounded sweetness to this dark beer and makes it an outstanding, year ‘round stout.
Abbey Smuttynose Tripel 22oz. 79 $14.25 Smuttynose Tripel features all the hallmarks of its Belgian inspirations.  The gold color misleads the drinker to expect something subtle, if not down right benign, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Sweet, round, and full of fruity esters from our distinctive Belgian-style yeast strain, Smuttynose Tripel is a nice sipping beer that is best enjoyed from your favorite tulip glass, especially the official Big Beer Series one. Conversely, Tripel’s fruity esters and rich mouthfeel mean you can pair the beer with ‘nearly anything from salads and fish to Mexican or Thai cuisine. Style Fact: The style name  “tripel” comes from the large amount of fermentable sugars which give the tripel wort a high starting gravity. Cheers!
Porter Smuttynose Robust Porter 12oz. 99 $4.00 A hearty ebony colored ale that starts with a rich malty palate finished with clean hops and notes of coffee and chocolate.
American Strong Ale J.W. Lees Manchester Star Ale 16oz. 97 $14.25 Launched 2001 in a collaboration between Giles Dennis, J.W. Less head brewer, and Garret Oliver of Brooklyn Brewery, New York.
Ingredients: Ale malt, Chocolate malt; Grist Goldings, Styrian, Hallertau hops; Yeast.
Manchester Star was a brew discovered in an old recipe book (from about one hundred years ago). Manchester Star is a 7.3% abv, dark ale, with chocolate, malty overtones and a warming finish made from 100% British ale malt, chocolate malt and Goldings hops.
IPA Horseheads Black Horse 22oz. 95 $12.95 This style of beer is classified as an India Black Ale. The focus is on both the malts and hops used during the brewing process. Our version is a medium body beer with a strong dark roasted malt flavor that finishes with an assertive hop bitterness. The aroma is fruity/citrus.
Belgian Strong Ale He’Brew St. Lenny’s Belgian Rye IPA 22oz. 90 $8.00 Brothers and sisters, I’m pissed! As one tends to do over beers, I’ve been talking smack with my longtime colleague and friend Brian Neville, brewmaster at St. Louis Missouri’s Cathedral Square Brewery, a disciple of Belgian-style creations. Collaboration perhaps Adam Louis birth Shmaltz Brewery? Like angel trumpets from heaven, he decreased the project shall be called, “The Immaculate Collaboration”. He further proclaims we must do a monk-inspired version of our beloved Bittersweet Lenny’s RIPA with Belgian yeast, naming it “St. Lenny’s.” Mouth agape, I cry, “Dude, you bogarted my shtick!” That’s what friends are for, I guess – great minds drink alike – and for now, it isn’t my brewing (that’s Paul, Richie ad Mike), my art (Matt) or my punchlines (Brian) – but after nearly 17 years, it is in fact my own brewery (alone with the whole Shmaltz Brewing tribe). L’Chaim!

Please note this is the version brewed by Shmaltz (HeBrew), not the Cathedral Square version.

Sour Victory Kirsch Gose 12oz. 89 $5.25 A bold and bright step outside the norm, the flavors of a unique, old world German brewing process excite your senses with the sharp and sweet burst of fresh cherries. Effervescent and sublime, this session ale has an enticing cherry-fruit character. European tradition and American ingenuity come together in the truest sense as you Taste Victory in Kirsch Gose.
Sour Ithaca Cayuga Cruiser 12oz. 80 $4.25 Cayuga Cruiser is our slightly tart and exceptionally refreshing Berliner-Weisse style ale. Mildly hazy in appearance and light in body, this beer delivers the perfect combination of elements resulting in supreme and satisfying drinkability. Whether you’re on a boat or in your backyard, this beer is the quintessential summer refresher.
Belgian Ale Duchesse De Bourgogne 11.5oz. 98 $12.00 Duchesee de Bourgogne is the traditional top fermented reddish-brown ale from the West-Flanders region of Belgium. This refined ale also known as “The Burgundies of Belgium” is a blend of 8 and 18 months old ales following careful maturation in oak casks. 100% natural and unpasteurized.
Stout Elysian Dragonstooth Stout 22oz. 99 $11.75 A smooth and sturdy stout, made with 10% rolled oats, roasted barley and chocolate malt. The name is referential to the founders of Thebes, warriors who sprang from the earth when the teeth of a slain dragon were sown by Cadmus. Bittered with Chinook; finished with Cascade and Columbus hops.
